Steele-Winters Family Papers
Correspondence, estate papers, family records, farm related accounts, diaries, cards, scrapbooks, yearbooks, oral histories, and photographs of the Steele and Winters families. Both families were early homesteaders and farmers in rural northwestern Illinois, settling in and around Bureau, Sangamon, and Winnebago Counties in Illinois in the early 1800s. Their extended families continue to live and farm in these areas to the present day.
Warren and Katherine Head postcard collection
Postcards collected by Warren and Katherine Head of Palmyra, Missouri. Includes approximately 2000 real photo and printed postcards, many of which include text and were sent through the mail. Postcards depict locations throughout the United States and over 40 countries, including Argentina, Czechoslovakia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Some subjects include buildings, houses, people, politics, military, bridges, and depictions of Native American people.
Zion City (Ill.) records
Mainly newspaper clipping scrapbooks, but also correspondence, and miscellaneous material relating to John Alexander Dowie and the founding of the Christian Catholic Church and Zion City, Illinois.
